on nov. 13, 1974 karen Silkwood, a worker at the Kerr Mcgee plutonium processing plant in Crescent Oklahoma left to go to a meeting with steve Wodka, a union official, and david bernom, a new Yourk times reporter. silkwood had documents in her posession that proved that Kerr McGee, her employer, was doctoring up its fuell rods. Karen never made it to the meeting. acording to the state police, the FBI, and the medical examiner Karen died after sustaining multiple injuries that she suffered due to a 1 car sleeping driver accident. she had died due to an artyrial bleed, and a severe head injury. the fact that she was also severely contaminated with plutonium that came from Kerr Mcgee, didn't make things any better. almost 30 years to the day, there is still mystery surrounding Karens death, was she murdered if so by whom? was the company involved, and what did the American public learn from the silkwood case?
